Super Smash Bros Ultimate: How Do Spirits Work?
As you progress around the "board" of World of Light, you'll collect spirits that fall into one of two categories.
Primary Spirits can be equipped to make your chosen character more powerful, while Support Spirits can then boost them further, often with special abilities.
These effects take place once you've equipped your spirits, so you don't need to do anything within a match itself.
