Final Smash Ultimate DLC Characters Announced At E3 And Tokyo Game Show 2021

Smash Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed that the final two DLC characters will be announced at E3 2021 and Tokyo Game Show 2021.

The Fighters Pass Vol.2 is just shy of being 1 year in and we're still waiting for the full six fighter roster.

With Min Min, Steve & Alex, Sephiroth and Pyra/Mythra being added so far, who will round out the final DLC?

Smash Ultimate DLC Announcement At E3 2021

In Sakurai’s Famitsu Column #629, he outlined many aspects of his career - both present and future.

In a translation from Nokolo and Sephazon Sakurai states that both fighters will be released this year. However, Ryokutya2089 (a Japanese blog dedicated to sharing information from Japanese gaming print magazines) informs us that the DLC characters would be announced around E3 2021 and the Tokyo Game Show 2021.

These last two characters will be the final characters for Smash Ultimate and signify the end of the game's content update.

E3 2021 is planned to take place from the 12th-15th June 2021.

Tokyo Game Show 2021 will then take place from the 30th of September to the 3rd of October 2021.

It feels like the DLC announcements were coming thick and fast in 2020, but 2021 has been a bit slower for announcements.

It isn't a surprise to see E3 as a main location to announce a Smash character as it's typically the big stage for these announcements (and a location that they've used to announce DLC characters before).

Usually, characters arrive a month after their announcement.
