Rust: How to Play With Friends On PS4 and Xbox Console Edition

It took a while, almost a decade actually, but we finally have Rust: Console Edition on the PS4 and Xbox One, giving fans a solid open-world survival game that they can play with friends.

As far as solo play goes, players still can’t host Private Servers, but Rust: Console Edition was a game made to be played with friends and it’s easy enough to do so.

For any players that are new to Rust or are having trouble inviting their friends to a game, we’re here to help you out.

All players have to do is find a server that can fit all of their friends on Rust: Console Edition, so if you’re feeling up for it, try to find one yourself and contact your buddies as soon as possible.

Once you find a server, start a game, open your menu, then pick ‘Create Team’ which will allow you to invite players to join your game.

Make sure to invite your friends right away and if there are any strangers that join you, simply kick them out, even if that’s a bit rude.

Trying to meet up with your friends in Rust: Console Edition shouldn’t be too troublesome either, though there are a couple of ways to go about it.

First, you can simply find your friend on the map and try to meet up that way but if they’re too far, there’s the second method.

Now, if your friends spawn way too far, find a place where you can set up a sleeping bag so your friends can kill their players in order to respawn to your rest zone.

Rust: Console Edition is now available on the PS4 and Xbox One.
