Update 1.91 is now live in Rocket League!
Rocket League's new season is in full gear now, and players are just wrapping up the holiday event which was one of the best in recent memory.
Now, Rocket League should be rolling out a brand new update very soon!
This patch is only going to be released for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. So, as of now, we do not know when a patch is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch players!
Here's all we know about this update, including release timing and patch notes.
RocketLeague on Twitter has noted the patch is going to be pushed on January 26th, 2021 and will come at the following time:
We are releasing a small update today at 4pm PST (12am UTC tomorrow) for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. This update will not disrupt online play when it becomes available.
Based on recent player feedback, Psyonix has become aware that the effects and lighting in Neon Fields can negatively impact the game experience for some players.
To ensure that Rocket League remains enjoyable for all players, we're adding a new settings option called "Effect Intensity" that adjusts the intensity and motion of visuals for this Arena.
Following the update, players will be able to change this setting to "Default" or "Low." The "Low" setting makes the following changes:
- Disables all pulsing effects
- Disables all flashing lights
- Reduces or disables moving FX/lights/background visuals
- Reduces the brightness or intensity of background lights
Players are able to get Fennec Decals for all teams featured in the Esports Shop. Each Fennec Decal will be available for 300 Esports Tokens.
