Red Dead Redemption 2 Modders Get Tired Of Waiting, Create Their Own Undead Nightmare


Red Dead Redemption 2 modders have beaten Rockstar Games to the punch, creating a new ghoulish event for their open-world game. Calling it Undead Nightmare II, that follows on from RDR's original's Undead Nightmare expansion back in 2010.

Available on Nexus Mods, this mod brings a plague to New Austin, causing the dead to return from beyond the grave. Some have lost hope while others choose to fight, as this plague overtakes the whole country. Basically, it adds a "What If" scenario to Red Dead Redemption 2.

So, what does it do? Across the New Austin map, towns have been boarded up as citizens try to stave off the undead. Meanwhile, the Wilderness iis swarmed with undead as they scour for food.

Lastly, the moon glows blood red and the regular ambient music is now gone in favour of an eerier tune, matching the grim tone of the Undead Nightmare DLC. As for gameplay, players will fight hordes of the undead and unfriendly people trying to survive this plague.

To apply this Undead Nightmare II Origins mod, PC players need to install Lenny's Mod Loader to apply the Mod and Project New Austin: 1907 mod to lay the foundations to make this zombie mod work.
