Ubisoft announced the Rainbow Six Siege Containment event, a Six Extraction and Six Siege collaboration event running from August 3 through August 24.
There's also a Rainbow Six Siege free weekend from August 13 through August 15 where players earn double Battle Pass points.
Rainbow Six Siege Containment introduces the Proteans from Extraction, a species of Archæan that assumes the form of your squad members, including fast movement speed and heavy-hitting melee attacks.
Don't think that gives you an advantage, though. Defenders holding the Protean threat off won't have weapons during Containment matches.

Defenders get extra health, Oryx's abilities, and Arauni's Punch, while Attackers get a reduced Operator's selection.
The new mode in Containment is Nest Destruction. Attackers must assault the nest and find the final objective, while defenders, naturally, defend the nest.
Containment includes more than 30 new skins, helmets, and uniforms for Operators such as Zeus, Aruni, Jager, Ace, and more. Bundles for each Operator cost 1,680 R6 credits or via the Containment Packs for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown.
