Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX: Zero Isle North, South, East And West

With Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX launched March 6th, plenty of fans are asking if the Zero Isles will appear within the game.

The gauntlet of all Pokemon dungeons was introduced during Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and made its way into other Pokemon titles as well.

Seen as the hardest dungeons of the entire series, some fans are hoping we get some sort of replica in the newest release.

Let's take a look at what the Zero Isle's are, and whether they will appear in the newest Mystery Dungeon game.

What Is It? (Zero Isle North Info)

These dungeons are without a doubt the hardest a Pokemon trainer will have to work in the Mystery Dungeon series; comprised of 75 floors and with Pokemon, up to LVL 90 this is no walk in the park.

You also cannot recruit Pokemon and do not earn experience points while traversing through these dungeons, so one may wonder what incentive is there to these dungeons.

Perhaps the only reason one may venture into a Zero Isle dungeon is simply because of the rewards. Some of the rarest items in the game such as the Golden Mask and the Friendship Bow can be found within these dungeons. So if you are up to the task, it is certainly worth it!

Differences Between The Isles

There are some differences between the four Isles, as there is one for each direction; North, South, East, and West. We'll go over some of the differences below!

  • Zero Isle East - Players can gain experience while in the dungeon, but will be reset to LVL 1 and can only carry 16 items in the dungeon.
  • Zero Isle South - Viewed as the ultimate dungeon of all the games, everything about the player will be reset to base statistics and to LVL 1. As well, they will adventure into the dungeon alone, and cannot recruit Pokemon while in the dungeon.
  • Zero Isle West - Similar to Zero Isle East, however, the player will lose all items in its treasure bag.

Will The Zero Isles Be In The New Game?

The short answer right now is, we do not know for sure. This was introduced back during the DS/3DS days of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series.

So, if they are not making this game a complete copy for copy remake of the classics, there could be a chance we could see some Zero Isles as a post-game adventure!
