Pokemon Legends: Arceus Has Reportedly Been Delayed

Pokémon fans were understandably excited after February's Pokémon Presents. Not only did they announce that we were finally getting 4th generation remakes with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl, but an open-world adventure too with Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Announced with an Early 2022 release window, Legends: Arceus is a prequel to Diamond and Pearl, showing Sinnoh as it existed in the past. While we don't have a lot of details about gameplay, our ultimate goal will be creating Sinnoh's first-ever Pokédex.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus Has Reportedly Been Delayed

However, if rumours are to be believed, Legends: Arceus is getting delayed. As reported by prominent Pokémon leakers Centro, Diamond & Pearl's remakes are sticking to their late 2021 launch, but Legends: Arceus could be pushed back for another big Nintendo release, spacing out their Pokemon entries.

Though it's unclear which game this could be, February's Nintendo Direct presentation revealed Splatoon 3 is set for a 2022 launch. Out of their announced games, Metroid Prime 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's sequel also fit the bill, though neither even have a vague release date currently.

At this point, nothing is official until we hear an announcement from Nintendo, but we'll keep you posted as we learn more.
