Pokemon GO Solstice Event: Regigigas In Raids And More

In celebration of longer days and longer nights across the globe, a Solstice Event for Pokemon GO has been announced for 2021. Players won't have to wait long, as the celebration begins this month.

The Pokemon GO Solstice Event begins on June 17 at 10 am local time, and it will conclude on June 20 at 8 pm local time. That leaves nearly four days for players to participate, which is a bit shorter than the typical Pokemon GO event.

Perhaps the main attraction of the event is Regigigas, who will be appearing in five-star raids during the event. Regigigas won't be leaving Pokemon GO raids after the Solstice event is over though. It will stay in five-star raids until July 1 at 10 am local time.

Which Pokemon can players encounter during the Pokemon GO Solstice Event?

Depending on the hemisphere that players are in, there will be different Pokemon to encounter. There are some constants across the globe though.

Pokemon that will appear globally include Lunatone, Solrock, Spheal, and others that are unannounced. In raids, global Pokemon include Solrock, Lunatone, and Klink among others.

Then there will be Pokemon that are split between hemispheres. In the Southern Hemisphere Snover, Snorunt, and Winter Form Deerling. The Northern Hemisphere will have Yanma, Chimchar, and Summer Form Deerling among others.

For raids, the Southern Hemisphere can expect to battle Lapras, Piloswine, and Snorunt. Meanwhile, the Northern Hemisphere will be able to battle Alolan Marowak, Yanma, and Petilil among others in the region.
