In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, three legendary Pokémon known as Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit make a return. The three combined create the Red Chain, which summons Dialga or Palkia after Team Galactic's intent on taking over the world. Once you defeat Team Galactic, the three Pokémon flee across Sinnoh, but they're far from gone!

Uxie Location & How To Catch
First and foremost, each of these legendary Pokémon has a very low catch rate and will be Level 50. So, be sure to be armed with a Pokémon that will not make them immediately faint, as well as an abundance of Ultra, Dusk, and Timer Balls.
Uxie can be found in Verity Cavern in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. To get here, you must visit Verity Lakefront, west of Twinleaf Town, and use the Surf Hidden Move to get to the cavern, which is located just off the lakefront.
Enter the cavern, and you'll see Uxie in the overworld. You can commence in a direct battle with them, but be prepared for Uxie's defense as the Pokémon with the highest defense stat in the game. Uxie will only know psychic-type moves, so you'll want a Pokémon who is strong against these while not out-levelling Uxie.
Azelf Location & How To Catch
Like Uxie, Azelf is a simple stationary battle. Azelf can be found in Valor Cavern, south of Veilstone City. Again, the Surf Hidden Move will be required to get to the Cavern, which is just off the lakefront.
Inside the cavern, Azelf will be found ready to battle with you. Just like battling with Uxie, be cautious of not using over-levelled Pokémon, as you want to catch Azelf rather than have them faint to an attack that was too strong; and Azelf's defense stats aren't as high as Uxie's. However, just like Uxie, be cautious of Azelf's psychic-type moves so that your own team doesn't faint to the legendary Pokémon.
Mesprit Location & How To Catch
Mesprit is the trickiest of the trio to catch in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Once again, you'll need to use the Surf Hidden Move from Acuity Lakefront (west of Snowpoint City) to access the cavern just off the shore.
Once inside, you will see Mesprit in the overworld, but they will flee as soon as you get close. After this, Mesprit will then be found hiding in various locations around the Sinnoh Region. To locate them, go to Jubilife City and visit the Pokétch Company to get the Marking Map app. This will then track where Mesprit is, provided you're in the same location. So, this requires checking the app often as you travel around Sinnoh yourself. Or, you can repeatedly travel between two locations while checking the Marking Map app and wait for Mesprit to make themselves to you.
Even when you find yourself in battle with Mesprit, they will regularly flee unless you use a move that prevents them from doing so. Thus, you need a Pokémon to know the Mean Look or Block move in order to trap Mesprit, then you can battle and attempt to catch them.
