Be Aggressive

Outriders has a similar healing system to DOOM in that you can get health items from killing enemies. Because of this it is often more beneficial to rush ahead and kill enemies if you are low on health. Hiding behind cover can be a death sentence, as enemies will flank and rush you. Try to fight back and refill your health.

Use Your Skills

Your skills actually have surprisingly fast cooldowns in Outriders, so use them whenever they are available. Shooting is key to beating enemies but you won’t win unless you are using your skills often. Consider dropping down turrets even if there aren’t many enemies, as you never know when you might need some extra firepower.

Do Side Quests

Make sure you are taking on side quests alongside the main missions. You’ll often get great gear from them, which will help you stay levelled against the progressively harder enemies that are being thrown at you.

Boss Fights

Boss enemies can be extremely tricky to take down. Think about how you are using your skills and when you are using them. You can use certain skills to interrupt attacks. Coordinate with your team to make sure you aren’t triggering multiple skills at once, as this can lead to enemies becoming resistant to certain effects.

Auto-loot

You can turn on Auto-loot in the options menu to make sure you aren’t missing out on any loot dropped by enemies. You can even set a minimum rarity to pick up, meaning you don’t have to deal with your inventory being filled up with low-level gear.

Melee

You may not know that you can press your melee attack while sprinting to trigger a powerful attack. You should be using your melee whenever you can, as it often inflicts certain effects like freeze or stun. Consider using it to get aggressive and earn some health back.
