The third season of COD Mobile in 2021 has just reached the halfway stage and despite plenty of the season still to run, attention is already turning towards the start of Season 4.

As players continue to enjoy the Tokyo Escape, Season 4 could be one of the biggest updates of the season so far, with Activision often providing major updates every two seasons.

As always, the build-up to a brand-new season sees a number of leaks and rumours surface, potentially revealing some of the new content that will be on offer in Season 4. Alongside the leaks and rumours, Activision often get in on the act by posting cryptic teasers on social media and for this season, it's no different.

Just hours before the start of Season 4, Activision has unveiled that the Heartbeat Sensor will be arriving to the game.

Season 4 2021 Theme Revealed - 24th May

The theme of Season 4 has been revealed!

Known as "Spurned and Burned" the theme confirms a return to a Wild West theme. Season 6 from 2020 also featured a similar theme.

Gameplay From Dome Revealed - 19th May 2021

@VishuCODMobile has posted the first look at gameplay from Dome, the newest addition to the COD Mobile map pool.

The map will release as part of 2021s Season 4.

Rambo And John McClane Coming To COD Mobile - 11th May

Alongside their release into Warzone, both Rambo and John McClane Operators are expected to appear in Season 4 of COD Mobile.

The two titles have never crossed paths before so it will be interesting to see how COD Mobile players can get their hands on the Operators.

Will it be through bundles or the Battle Pass? We will have to wait and see!

COD Mobile Season 4 2021 Release Date

Typically, the start of a new season takes place a day after the current Battle Pass comes to an end.

On May 25th, Activision revealed that Season 4: Spurned & Burned will start on May 26th!

Test Build

The test build for Season 4 has gone live with a player limit of 10,000 for both Android and iOS.

Both builds are approximately 2GB in size.

Update Size

The update will be available to download for both Android and iOS users and although there have been minimal clues as to what content will be included in the Season 4 update, players can expect the update to come in at around 2GB in size.

Tactical Items

One of the new tactical items arriving as part of Season 4 is the Heartbeat Sensor!

Players will be able to unlock the sensor by completing a seasonal challenge expected to go live on May 26th.

Battle Pass

As always, a new season will bring in a brand-new Battle Pass full of brand-new content ranging from new Operators, Parachutes, and so much more.

With a return to the Wild West, players can expect a number of cosmetic items to have a focus on the theme!

Before Season 4 begins, Activision has revealed details on some of the items that are expected to arrive.

Operator Skills

Notable COD Mobile leaker @DannyINTEL has discovered a brand-new Operator Skill coming to COD Mobile.

The K9 Unit will give players the ability to summon a dog that will hunt down any opposition and eliminate them.

Perks

The new season often sees the release of new Perks and Season 4 appears to be no different.

First discovered by @DannyINTEL, Gung-Ho will be arriving to COD Mobile and will enable players to hip-fire their weapon, throw grenades and reload while sprinting.

Weapons

One of the new weapons arriving in Season 4 is the MK2 marksman rifle.

Based on the MK2 Carbine from 2019s Modern Warfare, it has plenty of potential to dominate the battlefield.

Alongside the MK2, the Holger 26 is also being added to the weapon arsenal.

Players will be able to unlock this powerful LMG by completing a seasonal challenge that will take place during the season.

Zombies

Since their appearance in the early seasons of COD Mobile, Zombies have yet to make a regular return to the game despite a number of teasers being discovered.

Scorestreaks

@DannyINTEL has been busy! This time around the leaker has found a brand-new Scorestreak that is likely to arrive in Season 4.

The Hawk X3 costs 750 in Score and allows players to pilot an unmanned drone armed with a machine gun to eliminate any opposition in its path.

Maps

According to @CODM_Updates, Modern Warfare 3's Dome will be making its debut in Season 4.

Gunsmith 2.0

As part of the upcoming update, Season 4 will feature a large-scale upgrade to Gunsmith weapon assets with the introduction of Gunsmith 2.0.

More details on what features Gunsmith 2.0 comes with have yet to be revealed but it may feature even more customisation options.

Some changes to specific weapons have already been revealed.

With a number of popular weapons receiving some kind of modification, there is a chance that the meta could change greatly during Season 4.

  • Second Highest – 6-15 meters range (increased range)
  • Third Highest – 15-28 meters range (consolidated)
  • Lowest Damage – 28 meters range or further (same range)

HG 40

Old Stats

  • Highest Damage – 25 damage at 0-10 meters range
  • Second Highest – 23 damage at 10-24 meters range
  • Lowest Damage – 17 damage at 24 meters range or further

New Stats

  • Highest Damage – 26 damage at 0-10 meters range
  • Second Highest – 24 damage at 10-15 meters range
  • Third Highest – 20 damage at 15-25 meters range or further
  • Lowest Damage – 17 damage at 25 meters range or further
