Vy'Keen Daggers are used for a variety of important functions in No Man's Sky. They used to be a lot easier to find, but with each subsequent update things have gotten a little harder. No Man's Sky: How to Get Vy'Keen Daggers
The easiest way to get Vy'Keen Daggers is to head to a Vy'Keen system and scan for a Trading Post. You can do this as long as you have the Economy Scanner upgrade for your ship. Just open the quick menu and select 'Scan for Trade Outpost'. Land your ship and speak to any Vy'Keen pilots that are standing next to parked ships. They will often have Vy'Keen Daggers in their inventories. Here are some other ways to get them:
- Solve Monolith Puzzles (for info on finding Portal Monoliths, head here)
- Purchase from space traders (Pulse and then exit when anomaly is detected)
- Found on Derelict Freighters in certain crates
- Reward for Frigate Expeditions
- Reward for Practising Language Skills with a Vy'Keen
What Are Vy'Keen Daggers Used For?
In Vy'Keen systems, you will need to give Vy'Keen Daggers to Monoliths in order to locate portals. They can also be given to Vy'Keen to increase standing. Starting a new Settlement in a Vy'Keen system will require 3 Daggers. You will also need two of them to complete the Weapons Research side missions art your base.
