Catdog, April O' Neil Joins Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Roster


During the Gamescom Future Games Show this August, the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl got two new trailers featuring a pair of characters to be added to its initial roster. The reveals have confirmed that Catdog and April O' Neil for this game. Here's what we know about these reveals for this game.

Catdog

As promised in a previous trailer, the Gamescom Future Games Show premiered Catdog and April O' Neil trailer on its livestream. Previously, the previous Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Character Reveal trailer teased that the next characters would be an iconic pair and has aptly shown Catdog.

In their trailer, Catdog's attacks mostly showcased the conjoined brother's flexibility, using random furniture, bones, and fire hydrants to hit their foes, and Dog's ability to bulk up to land heavy hits on their foes. The unique part of Catdog is the pair has alot of attacks that hits either side and doesn't have a backside for enemies to take advantage of.

On the other end, April O' Neil from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is also added to the roster of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. April's appearance in this game is based from her classic look where she's wearing a tracksuit with many pockets and is a reporter.

In line with her work, her attacks in this game mostly use broadcasting equipment such as cameras, professional video cameras, microphones, and headlights. She also attacks with acrobatic kicks to keep her foes at bay.

Clues For The Next Characters

Even though the trailers didn't say who the next characters will be, the trailer featured some maps which could tease the next characters. One map where Catdog and April O' Neil can be seen clashing with other characters is the Harmonic Convergence in the Avatar series' Spirit World.

In the background of this map, the Avatar spirits of Raava and Vaatu can be seen flying and occasionally swoops near the characters brawling it out. So far, no characters from the Avatar: The Last Airbender and the Avatar: Legend of Korra have been included in the roster so far. It's highly possible that the developers will add characters from these Nickelodeon shows in the next reveals for it soon.
