A new update for Teyon’s blockbuster action game RoboCop: Rogue City aims to bring the “full invincible robotic law enforcement officer experience” to its beloved action game.

Already aiming to work on more 80s movie adaptations, Teyon’s latest update brings New Game Plus and a host of other goodies to the awesome FPS.

The main part of the update is the addition of New Game Plus mode, allowing you to bring all of your upgraded skills and weapons back through the entire story. This means that your overpowered chips will help you blast through the earlier stages of the game like a walking tank.

After the update is downloaded, you need to finish the game to unlock the New Game Plus mode. If you load up a save file from just before completion, you’ll be able to quickly unlock the mode as well as a new Golden Auto-9 for RoboCop’s iconic pistol.

Alongside these additions, a brand-new difficulty option can be experienced. Called There Will Be Trouble, the challenging new difficulty mode will increase the damage and health of enemies, forcing you to rely more on cover and accuracy than before.

Furthermore, Teyon has added even more chip upgrades for you to customise your RoboCop. Some of these may end up being essential to beating the game’s challenging new difficulty mode.

Alongside the new gameplay features, the following bug fixes have been introduced:

  • Fixed the shooting mode not properly resetting when exiting interiors
  • Fixed RoboCop's right hand disappearing when grabbing a human enemy while unaliving them
  • Fixed the Stolen Vehicle investigation being skipped if Ben immediately opened the locker

In our review of RoboCop: Rogue City, we fell in love with Teyon’s faithful recreation of the 80s classic. We said: “For fans of the films, or just those tangentially familiar with the character, I'm certain you'll love RoboCop: Rogue City. It's as faithful to the source material as it gets in licensed fare, and proves that when handled with love and care, there's always scope to tell new stories in such a beloved franchise.”

RoboCop: Rogue City is currently available on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC.
