Modern Warfare 3 players are getting frustrated over the game's inconsistent time to kill.

With Season 1 on the horizon, players continue to drop into the action. To extend the Modern Warfare 3 time to kill, Sledgehammer Games opted to adjust the health level of players. Despite the change, some guns and weapons are still capable of scoring kills in the blink of an eye.

The lack of consistency is understandably frustrating for fans expecting certain weapons to perform better than others. Whether an assault rifle or SMG is selected, many are falling victim to pistols that are eliminating players with no time to react.

Noticed by Reddit user BirdOnWheelz, the player says the "TTK [time to kill] is all over the place."

The player says: Why am I being 3 shot by a pistol but then it takes me 5-8 shots from an SMG or AR? I've noticed countless times where I'll have the jump on someone getting in the first 1-3 shots and still dying." It appears there are plenty of others in agreeance. Another adds: "This is the biggest drawback. Say what you will about SBMM but the s**t servers/hit reg is my biggest gripe."

Call of Duty often uses servers with a low tick rate, meaning they take longer to process information such as bullets hitting their intended target. The higher the tick rate, the more information is registered. It would make a lot of sense for Activision to enhance server quality to stop inconsistencies from ruining matches.

To shed more light on the inconsistent time to kill, content creator TrueGameData uploaded a video revealing Modern Warfare 3 features larger head and chest hitboxes than Modern Warfare 2, giving players more chances to deal the damage required to secure a kill.

Despite the increase in health, larger hitboxes mean the Modern Warfare 3 time to kill still feels fast in some scenarios. If players hit an arm or a leg, the increase in time to kill is more noticeable.

Sledgehammer Games often acknowledges player feedback and if Modern Warfare 3 time to kill frustrations continues, there's a strong chance some fine-tuning will take place.
