MW2 Campaign Remastered Walkthrough: Loose Ends Mission Walkthrough Veteran Difficulty

The remastered campaign from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out right now on PS4 and is soon coming to Xbox and PC, releasing on April 30th.

In this article, find a complete walkthrough of the “Loose Ends” mission along with some handy tips to complete this mission on the highest difficulty.

Mission Walkthrough

The mission begins with Roach and Ghost and a few other members of the 141 beginning their approach on the safehouse. Some hidden proximity mines appear from out of nowhere and the Russians begin to open fire onto your position.

Follow Ghost into the smoke grenades and take out any enemies that you come across as you continue to advance towards the safehouse.

TIP: Once you’re within the smoke grenades, use the knife to take out enemies quickly, giving them no time to react to your presence.

Now out of the smoke grenades, two trucks will attempt to make their escape from the house. A Javelin will take three of them, allowing you to move towards the front of the house.

There will be a small group of enemies at the front but it is very straightforward to deal with them before you breach the front door.

Take down a couple of enemies during the slow-mo breach to allow safe entry into the house. Continue to clear out the house making sure no enemy fighters escape the house.

With the safehouse clear of any resistance, regroup with Ghost at the front of the house to begin the data transfer.

TIP: Place the claymores next to the trucks at the front of the house and the rear entrances to prevent any unexpected entrances into the building during the transfer.

With the transfer in full swing, a hoard of enemies will begin to converge onto the safehouse. Takedown as many enemies as possible to keep the transfer ticking over.

At the halfway stage of the transfer, head out the front door for a clearer shot on the enemies taking cover in the trees.

With the front of the building safe, turn your attention to the rear of the building where another wave of enemies will attempt another breach.

With most of the enemies now dealt with, focus on the front of the house again as the transfer nears its end.

With the transfer all done, head out the front of the house with the rest of the taskforce and begin the push towards the landing zone. Takedown any resistance that is preventing your progress.

TIP: Focus on the RPGs before dealing with the rest of the enemy soldiers. The RPGs will be the most likely to take you down when pushing down the hill.

Once down the hill, a mine will take you out. Ghost will begin to drag you towards safety. You and Ghost approach Shepherd who emerges from the chopper before the unthinkable happens.

Shepherd pulls out the pistol and shoots you and Ghost.

The general throws his cigar onto your body and the fiery inferno fades to black.

• The Pawn – Assault Makarov’s safehouse.
• Desperado – Kill 5 enemies in a row using 5 different weapons or attachments.
• No Rest For the Wary – Knife an enemy without him ever knowing you were there. 
• Clay-more – Kill 11 enemies using Claymores in “Loose Ends”

Intel Locations

•  Intel #1 – Inside the weapon store in the basement of the house. The laptop is on top of an ammo box.
•  Intel #2 – In front of the boathouse by the lake. The laptop is easily spotted next to another laptop on an ammo box.
• Intel #3 – In the breach room at the top of the stairs. The intel is on a table by the far window.
