MW2 Campaign Remastered is now live, letting players get back into the combat boots of Roach and co. as they battle to survive and end World War 3.
And thanks to The Gaming Revolution (@TheGamingRevo2 on Twitter), it sounds as though Modern Warfare 3 could be the next title to get the remaster treatment.

The leaker that posted gameplay footage and info of Warzone prior to its initial release noted on Twitter "MW3 Remastered has been getting worked on for a while now too so I wonder how/when that's going to drop".
Considering Activision's plans for the franchise in recent years, it's perhaps unsurprising; 2016's Infinite Warfare's special editions received Modern Warfare Remastered before it was sold separately later on, while Modern Warfare 2 launched as an optional download this week for Modern Warfare (2019) owners or as a standalone download.
Modern Warfare 3 isn't quite as well regarded as its predecessors, with development of the 2011 split between multiple studios in the wake of Infinity Ward co-founders Vince Zampella and Jason West's legal dispute with publisher Activision.
In any case, it offered a satisfying conclusion to the Modern Warfare storyline, and we'd love the chance to play through the trilogy again with updated visuals.
