Warzone Season 5: Urzikstan New Map Rumours And Leaks - Verdansk Changes

A new map may be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 5 thanks to a lot of speculation surrounding the most recent Bunker Easter Egg as well as many other clues within Modern Warfare itself.

Season 5 is set to release on the 5th August according to major teasers and we've had few details to go by yet, but that hasn't stopped rumours popping up.

Here's what we know about a new map.

Warzone's New Map

Urzikstan is rumoured to be the new map coming to Warzone. Urzikstan is a fictional country in Modern Warfare located on the eastern border of the Black Sea.

Reddit user u/StreetfighterXD seems to think so and they've written a very detailed description as to why it will be.

They stated that they have all of the assets in place and it will be a sandwich of several multiplayer maps such as Rammazam, Crash, Embassy, Palace, Euphrates Bridge, Rust, Azhir Cave and more.

@ModernWarzone has also shared information from one of their Discord mods that pointed out a stagnant sand storm is surrounding Urzikstan (in-game).

They have reason to believe that the new circle will no longer be gas, but instead a sandstorm.

In conclusion, there's an argument that a new map will arrive. However, this is purely speculation at the moment and nothing has suggested it is concrete.

Until we receive a new update that potentially adds these files to the game or it's announced via official channels, it's simply a dream at this stage.

City Map

Recently, a city map was found that is related to Warzone.

First discovered by ModernWarzone, this new render shows new skyscrapers in the centre of a heavily built-up city which doesn’t look like Downtown in Verdansk.

The building on the left heavily resembles the Gherkin building in London, potentially implying that Warzone is heading to Price’s neck of the woods.

The future of Warzone is still a mystery and what is planned for the future - all we know is that Warzone will continue to evolve in COD 2020.

Verdansk Map Changes

If a new map isn't coming to Warzone, it's almost certain that new changes will arrive to the original.

At the start of the season the Dam from Verdansk was added to the loading screen; potentially hinting at something to come.

In recent weeks, players can hear wolves howling within the Dam itself with the volume growing as time goes on.

It's theorised that the dam will end up thawing out and water will start to enter the map.

If you've been checking out the strategy guide that Activision launched with Warzone, there are many areas listed as "classified".

It's easy to assume these areas will be unlocked as time goes on and particularly when Season 4 launches.
