With Nintendo Direct set for tonight, we might learn more about Metroid Dread before its launch next month. But it has been assumed that another Samus adventure in Metroid Prime 1 might receive a re-release on the Switch.
As claimed by regular Nintendo insider, Emily Rogers, Metroid Prime 1 is reportedly being worked on by Nintendo to coincide with the game's 20th anniversary.
Metroid Prime Remaster Rumoured For A Switch Release
Rogers tweeted the news, asserting that the first instalment is likely to get remastered, though the entire trilogy could also receive the same treatment.
The news complements earlier reports claiming that an HD port of the entire Prime trilogy has been completed. Meanwhile, Metroid Prime 4 is still a while away as the Japanese company focus on ensuring a successful launch for Metroid Dread.
Could we see an announcement for a Metroid Prime re-release or even for the entire trilogy at Nintendo Direct? We will have to wait and see, but we will update you on any developments.
