Sneaky Reacts To Anathema's Chains: "Are you kidding me"

The release of update 11.13 in League of Legends also marked the introduction of a new legendary item, Anathema's Chains.

Anathema's Chains

Priced at 2,500 gold, Anathema's Chains grants the equipped champion 650 bonus health as well as +20 ability haste. Considering the bonuses received from this legendary item, it is an excellent purchase for top lane champions who benefit from additional sustainability.

Additionally, the item provides bonus active and passive perks. Here are the perks:

• Active - VOW: Designate the target enemy champion as your Nemesis and gain 1 stack of Vendetta every 2 seconds over 60 seconds, up to 30 stacks, resetting upon selecting a new Nemesis. Cannot be cast for 15 seconds while in combat with champions. Can be used while dead. (90-second cooldown; Global range)
• Passive - VENDETTA: Take 1% reduced damage per stack of Vendetta from your Nemesis, up to 30% reduced damage.
• Passive - VENGEANCE: At maximum stacks, your Nemesis has 20% reduced tenacity while they are within Range 700 units of you.

Having said that, as it turns out, the stats provided by Anathema's Chains to the wearer makes it extremely difficult for the enemy ADC to take out the tanky top laner.

Sneaky's Reaction to Anathema's Chains

While talking about the effect of the new Anathema's Chains in League of Legends, Zachary "Sneaky" Scuderi spoke at length about what makes the item disastrous for ADCs.

Sneaky said,

"Nice, 30% reduced damage to Nunu. Awesome. Oh, and Mordekaiser bought it. Are you kidding me? F**k yourselves.”

What Sneaky actually meant by this is the fact that it becomes nearly impossible to deal notable damage to champions that build Anathema's Chains. Having said that, the developers haven't revealed any information regarding possible changes to the legendary item for patch 11.14. However, if more and more professional players start voicing their concern, Riot might indeed be forced to look into Anathema's Chains for a possible nerf.
