UPDATE: A cinematic for the final chapter of the Sentinels of the Light event in League of Legends has now been revealed by Riot Games.
League of Legends (LOL) patch 11.14 has finally arrived following patch 11.13 which was scheduled last June 23. And fans are already engaged about the content it might introduce, especially about the long-rumored Ruination event in LOL.

League of Legends Ruination Release Date
As mentioned, the Ruination will be available in patch 11.14 that has gone live yesterday, July 8. Watch out for more news and content as we give you the latest information about it.
League of Legends Ruination Leaks
Known LOL leaker Surrenderat20.net showed almost everything that we can expect in Ruination, including the possible game content for patch 11.14.
One of the most notable leaks is the new map skin which resembles a darker vibe, signifying that the Summoner’s Rift could somehow be a place where danger awaits. A new game mode called Ultimate Spellbook would also be introduced in the update.

League of Legends Ruination Lore
The Ruination could be known as an event in LOL wherein some of the most dangerous and bizarre creatures arrived in Runeterra. It turned some people to become champions of their own, like Kalista, Hecarim, Thresh, and the recently introduced Viego who is also regarded as the Ruined King.

Last month, Riot Games launched the newest trailer for the upcoming Ruination event in the game on their official Twitter account.
The video showed the kingdom of Demacia which is the place where champions like Lux, Morgana, and Garen came from. The atmosphere of the place suddenly changed after a dark green smoke covered Demacia, making it a dark yet glowing place in the process. This could somehow confirm the aesthetic shown on the leaks above.
Also, the official cinematic trailer about the Ruination season was posted on the official YouTube channel of LOL last January. You may check it out below.
Latest Ruination News
Now with update 11.13 being live, Riot also released some images showing new Sentinel skins for Irelia, Diana, Vayne, Riven, and Olaf, as well as a new Ruined skin for Pantheon.

UPDATE: More Sentinel And Ruined Skins Revealed by Riot Games
New skins were eventually posted on the official League of Legends Twitter account.
These are the new Sentinel skins for Rengar, Pyke, and Graves, Unbound skin for Thresh, and the Ruined skin for Miss Fortune.
The newly revealed skin animations followed through and were also shown afterwards. You may take a look at these:
Sentinels of Light
With update 11.14 now live, League of Legends has now released the cinematic short for the Sentinels of Light as part of the Ruination storyline.
