League of Legends Animated Series Arcane is Coming This Fall


Fans have eagerly been awaiting the release of League of Legend's first animated series "Arcane".

NetflixGeeked Twitter account today confirmed the release of the delayed project expected to now be on our screens in Fall 2021.

While there is no specific date, fans will be happy to know that the animated series is finally ready.

Originally, the series was expected to launch during 2020 however, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Riot Games decided to push the release date back to ensure the safety of those working on the project and create a great product.

"Creative development and production is hard, especially in a world where you can’t see your coworkers IRL. We have video meetings now, which help, but they are no substitute for being in a room where we can really get the creative energy flowing. Combine these issues, along with the technical difficulties of production at the international scale, and the problem becomes a lot bigger." Said the head of Creative Development, Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street.

Arcane was announced during the 10-year anniversary event in 2019 alongside other projects Riot had in development.

The story is said to be about "the origins of two iconic League champions and the power that will tear them apart."

From the information that has been gathered from trailers, it looks to be the story of Jinx and Vi who are rumored to be sisters, so the story will tell their childhood and what ultimately "tore them apart".
