The Forgotten City - Cloud Edition Loops Onto Switch Today

The Forgotten City - Cloud Edition has just been confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and it launches today. Having started life as a popular mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Modern Storyteller adapted it into a full release earlier this year. Now, it's arrived on Nintendo's handheld platform, though not as you might've expected.

Going live at 4pm BST, it follows a growing trend of Cloud Editions on Switch by Ubitus, used as a means to workaround the Switch's lower hardware specifications. That's previously brought Hitman 3, Control and - when it launches next month - Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy.

The Forgotten City - Cloud Edition Loops Onto Switch Today

Speaking about this in detail, Guillaume Jamet, Head of Publishing at Dear Villagers, stated:

We are glad to reach more and more Nintendo Switch players in the world with this popular title - The Forgotten City - Cloud Version. This is our first time to joint release a game with Ubitus and we look forward to more future co-operation with Ubitus.

To ensure your internet connection's suitable, Ubitus ports allow players to download a free demo, testing it out for a limited amount of time before purchasing the full edition. If streaming's not ideal and you've got other platforms, The Forgotten City's also available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
