Spiritfarer's Physical Release Now Available On Switch And PS4

Spiritfarer saw strong reception when it launched digitally last August. Playing as Stella, a "Spiritfarer" who ferries spirits of the deceased to the afterlife, developers Thunder Lotus Games have announced physical editions go on sale today, for both Switch and PS4.

Courtesy of Skybound Games and iam8bit, this physical edition comes with several exclusive goodies. Alongside a 96-page digital art book, we've got six collectible postcards and a sticker stamp set, which highlight Spiritfarer's different locations.

There's a digital code included for the soundtrack too, though iam8bit revealed plans to release a 2xLP vinyl soundtrack, alongside "a robust Collector’s Edition". However, they advise these will only retail through iam8bit's official website at a later date, which remains unconfirmed.

As for Spiritfarer's future, this press release outlines further update plans. Next is the Beverley Update, which includes "a new spirit, new boat buildings, collectibles and recipes", alongside quality of life improvements. Finally, the Jackie & Daria update comes "later this fall", though we'll have to wait for further details.
