Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask - release date, Pokemon and more

The upcoming downloadable content expansions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been announced. Similar to the Sword and Shield expansions, The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero are bringing new story content to explore and new Pokemon to catch. Here's everything we know about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask.

What's potentially different to Sword and Shield is that this first DLC is split into two parts. We don't know if there's going to be a full second expansion after this, but we're going to talk about everything we know about the first part, The Teal Mask.

When does Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask release?

As announced in the 2023 Pokemon Day, The Teal Mask is set to release in the Fall of 2023, though we didn't get an exact date. This will come out quite a bit after the introduction of Pokemon HOME to the game.

What Pokemon are coming to The Teal Mask?

There are a few new Pokemon that will be coming with The Teal Mask. There's very little known about these Pokemon at this point.

• Ogerpon - Ogerpon is the keyart Pokemon of the expansion.
• Okidogi - A dog Pokemon that's part of the trio, The Heroes of Kitakami
• Munkidori - A monkey Pokemon that's a part of The Heroes of Kitakami
• Fezandipiti - A bird Pokemon that's a part of The Heroes of Kitakami

In The Teal Mask, we'll be taking a school trip to the Island of Kitakami, where we'll be meeting new people, and exploring the island and it's mysteries. While we're not 100% certain whether or not we'll be getting access to The Heroes of Kitakami, but it would make sense if we're exploring the island and it's culture.

There's also some confirmed returning Pokemon that we'll be seeing in this expansion that are not in the Paldean PokeDex.

There's more than likely going to be more than these that will show up in the expansion, so be sure to check back as we'll update this as we get more information.
