We’re a week away from Horizon Forbidden West launching, but that hasn’t stopped fans picking up Horizon Zero Dawn. According to PlayStation, Guerrilla Games' open-world game has now passed 20 million in sales, combining sales from the PS4 and PC versions of Horizon Zero Dawn.
Not bad for a game initially launched five years ago. Furthermore, Sony also revealed fans have spent one billion hours playing Zero Dawn across both systems, which has likely seen a huge increase with Forbidden West nearly launching.
Horizon Zero Dawn Sells 20 Million Copies
Horizon Zero Dawn was a critical hit when it first came out on PS4, quickly entering the console’s Greatest Hits line-up. Given current anticipation surrounding Horizon Forbidden West, we can safely assume the sequel is going to become another best-selling title too.
If you haven’t yet, Horizon Zero Dawn is readily available on PS4 and PC, which was recently patched to provide 60fps support on PS5. Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PS4 and PS5 next week on February 18. We'll keep you updated on more Horizon news as they come along.
