March 11, 2024: We clarified the purpose of the Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage tier list and added further reroll details relating to the current log-in bonuses and gem rewards.

Looking for a Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage tier list? Now that Miku's new rhythm game has finally released outside of Japan, fans from all over the world can start playing music with the virtual singer while getting to know a cast of characters who each want to perform in their own way. The rhythm game itself can be quite tough at times, especially as you have a health bar in every song, and you'll fail if it drops to zero.

However, the production values are really great, and it's fun to see your troupe of singers dancing while you tap to the music. So, what advantage do different characters give you in a rhythm game? A surprising amount, it would seem. Each character has a talent level based on rarity that affects what rewards you get, and you can increase this by completing character missions.

Different characters also have skills that boost rewards, recover health, or even turn bad taps into perfect ones for a short duration, meaning you can sometimes effectively skip tougher sections. So that's why we've created this Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage tier list guide, as we want to give you a good idea of who to choose. Be aware that this tier list is based on the original Japanese version of the game, so it is likely to change now that the global version has arrived.

The fact of the matter is that a Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage tier list shouldn't exist. Not in the traditional mobile/competitive game sense, at least. Over time, each character will have dozens of different available cards, all of which will come with different attributes to help you score higher in specific songs and events. As such, there's no single card that's best suited to every single song. What you see above is more akin to a popularity ranking.

How do I perform a Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage reroll?

  • Download the game
  • Start your account (don't link it to anything)
  • Pick your starting squad and skip the tutorials
  • Collect all the log-in rewards and presents from your mail
  • Pull in the available banners (be sure to use any three-star tickets)
  • Use the options menu to get back to the title screen
  • Use the top-right button to clear your cache
  • Start again

With a bunch of new events set to kick off throughout January 2022, any new player will want to keep the Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage reroll method in mind if they're the make the most of their first free pulls.

As of October 26, 2023, logging into Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage with a new account nets you around 7,000 gems and one three-star scouting ticket right off the bat. Get through the tutorial, choose your starting squad, and skip the home screen ads, and you'll be able to use these to do two ten-pull scouts in even the event banners, and a single in the three-star banner as well.

If you don't get who you're after with those pulls, either play until you can get another, or use the main menu to get back to the title screen. Tap the button in the top-right here, clear your cache, and—if you didn't tie your account to an email, phone account, or social media platform—you'll be able to start fresh and try again.

How Do I Get New Characters in Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage?

Other than the set you start with depending on who you choose, you can get more characters through the game's gacha system, by using crystals or gacha tickets. As you pull for characters, you'll accumulate stickers, which are basically a pity currency. When you have enough of these, you can use them to purchase some characters directly in the Sticker Exchange shop.
