John has confirmed we will get details of the test "ahead of time" and it "will not be a surprise".

"We're constantly evaluating the flighting build, just like we do with MCC flights, and the exact timing is dictated by development realities. That said, once we have a firm date locked in, we'll let you know." John adds on to his original Tweet.

Microsoft's Phil Spencer recently confirmed that Halo Infinite is on track for a holiday 2021 release, and they are just working out small details between other titles releasing around the same time, ensuring they do not overlap.

If Halo Infinite is to release this year we can expect an announcement date for the upcoming flights soon as the team would want some breathing room to fix any issues players have during the test.

Players will need to sign up for the Halo Insider Program if they wish to take part in the upcoming flight.
