Warzone default perks explained

In a recent Call of Duty blog post, we learned that several perks, listed below, will be part of players' loadouts and active at all times. With any luck, this change will encourage players to experiment with their loadouts and make movement more fluid.

  • Tac Pads: Improves slide distance, allows for full ADS while sliding, and increases stance transition speed.
  • Commando Gloves: Enables reloading while running.
  • Quick-Grip Gloves: Increases weapon swap speed.
  • Climbing Boots: Increases climbing and mantling speed.
  • Overkill: Lets you pick two primary weapons.

The blog post also mentions that perk packages can be found in ground loot, either 'dropped by an eliminated player or found in supply boxes'. The season's new perks will likely be filling these packages, so we've compiled a list of every perk making its debut in Warzone Season 1 below.

  • Irradiated: Move faster and take less damage while in the gas.
  • Tempered: Allows you to refill armor plates to full with two plates. Now available as a custom perk.
  • Combat Scout: Bullets briefly ping enemies for players and their squads. Hitting an enemy from farther away increases the ping time.
  • Resolute: When hurt by gunfire, gain a short bonus to movement speed.
  • Shrouded: Drop a smoke grenade when downed.
  • Mountaineer: Fall damage reduced.
  • Stalker: Increased strafe and aim down sight (ADS) movement speed.
  • Escapist: Increased speed when downed, prone, and crouching.
  • Primed: Accuracy and time to ADS while jumping is improved.
  • Faculty: Delays triggered explosives while sprinting, warns of nearby enemy equipment, and reduces combat noise.
