Super Mario RPG holds a few secret puzzles for players to complete to gain some sweet rewards. But first, you need to know how to solve the Super Mario RPG Booster family portraits puzzle.
Without spoiling too much of the story, at one point after Mario recruits Mallow, Geno, and Bowser, you'll run into the infamous Booster, a rather eccentric character with a wealthy family that's amassed a fortune that's been passed down from generation to generation.
As you attempt to rescue Princess Peach you'll explore Booster Tower, eventually running into a locked room with a message and an unaligned set of family portraits. Here's how to solve the puzzle.

The solution to arrange Booster's family portraits in the correct order is actually at the beginning of Booster Tower. In the lobby, you'll see every Booster family member. You simply need to match that sequence.
We got you covered, though, simply select the images in the order you see below to get the key that will open the secret room right next to the portraits.
If you can't see the image, this is the order, starting from left to right:
- Fourth
- Fifth
- Third
- Sixth
- Second
- First

Once you get access to the secret room with the Elder key you'll see that a Chain Chomp was being held captive. Bowser will swoop in and take the beast into his care, turning it into a powerful new weapon that will boost his attack considerably.
As you can see, there's nothing to lose by trying to complete this puzzle. It's not even a particularly hidden one since you'll run into the portraits on your way to the top of Booster Tower, so it's begging to be solved.
