Official Capcom information tells us that Chun-Li was born on March 1, 1968, so roughly, she's in her early to mid-fifties during the events of Street Fighter 6.

As we've mentioned, SF6 is now chronologically the most recent entry in the entire franchise, with the events of Street Fighter III Third Strike finally behind us.

SFIII Third Strike was released in 1999, making Chun-Li 31. While it's not set in stone that 1999 was, in fact, the year in which the game takes place, fans have theorized this is the most plausible scenario.

Sadly, in order to avoid convoluting the timeline even further, Capcom has shied away from specifically stating in which year Street Fighter 6 takes place, leaving it to fans to piece it together.

One thing is clear, though, and is that Chun-Li has indeed matured and now lives a quiet life.

By playing the World Tour mode, SF6's story-driven content, fans will find out that Chun-Li is now no longer a member of Interpol, putting an end to her decade-long mission of taking down the Shadaloo organization.

The self-proclaimed strongest woman in the world now likes to hang out in Metro City's Chinatown, giving kung-fu lessons to anyone interested in martial arts.

One of her trainees, Li-Fen, is now a grown teenager after making an appearance in both Street Fighter V's story mode (a direct prequel to SFIII), A Shadow Falls, and Street Fighter III so that at least gives us some sense of how much time has passed leading up to Street Fighter 6.
