We estimate that you should be playing at least five hours into the game to meet up with Cere for the first time. You'll then be given a blaster by Bode. Upon receiving the blaster, the blaster stance will unlock and you'll have it in your collection of combat stances, ready for use.

The blaster stance combines a lightsaber and a blaster. This stance offers a flexible play style that covers both ranged and close-quarters combat. It's perfectly balanced so that you wouldn't have to worry about getting too near or too far from your enemies.

In terms of engaging with in-game foes, you switch between shooting blaster fire at enemies from a distance to enabling your lightsaber for melee attacks.
