At the beginning of the match, you will need to select Crests. At first glance, this item may not look straightforward, but here are a few hints to help you better understand what Crests are.

At first, this item will just give you a certain passive effect, and only after you level it up to a certain level it will turn into a complete, powerful item that will give you a significant advantage over your opponents. Keep in mind that you won't have a chance to change Crests in a match once you've confirmed your choice so be sure to pick one that's going to benefit your style of play the most.

Predecessor Crests are not tied to a specific Champion but to certain archetypes. For example, the Rogue Crest is favoured by Assassins, the Warlock Crest by Hybrid Casters, and the Titan Crest by Tanks.

When you have a Crest for a particular class, you will need to complete certain types of tasks to get to its final, and most powerful, form. For example, the Magician Crest will level up as you accumulate Mana, while the Titan Crest used by Tanks grows through taking damage. During a match, you can see the progress of your Crest in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Once you level up your Crest to the maximum and return to base, you'll have to choose one of three options for its final form. Each of them will have its stats, as well as provide you with certain unique active or passive effects that are bound to prove useful in your quest for victory.

There you have it, that's everything there is to know about Predecessor Crests and how they work. Once you're done here, feel free to take a look at our list of the best games like Starfield.
