Everything we know about Persona 5 Tactica

Persona 5 Tactica boasts an entirely fresh narrative, welcoming back beloved characters while introducing both new allies and adversaries. Atlus revealed that as you immerse yourself in this exciting combat odyssey upon joining the group, prepare to embark on an emotional revolution that is bound to captivate and resonate with players.

Plot

The developers Atlus decided to keep the Persona 5 Tactica timeline concurrently with the events of 2016's Persona 5. During the routine meetup, The Phantom Thieves of Hearts teleported into a Medieval European-inspired world.

Surrounded by a military group named Legionnaires, they find themselves in grave danger until a mysterious revolutionary named Erina rescues them and offers a deal in exchange for their help.

Is there something fishy behind Erina and the deal that she offers to the Phantom Thieves? Of course, we have to wait for this as Atlus isn't going to spill the beans on this gripping plot twist and it is up to you to explore. So, for now, just take this info with a pinch of salt!

Gameplay

If, by chance, you've played the realms of 1997's Final Fantasy Tactics, you'll find yourself quickly adapting to the gameplay of Persona 5 Tactica. Conversely, even if you haven't experienced the former, Atlus has taken diligent care to ensure that the mechanics are both straightforward and easily comprehensible from the get-go.

In this game, you lead a team of characters on a grid-based battlefield. Each character has their special abilities and skills to beat the baddies. Since it's turn-based, you can switch between your main character and the three companions at your disposal.

The gameplay includes stuff like taking cover, deploying weapons, and unleashing special attacks. And, of course, there's the core feature of the Persona series – summoning your Persona. Planning your strategies needs some careful thinking, considering all these different aspects. In a nutshell, it's a perfect blend for tactical genre fans, offering a balanced and engaging experience.

So, that is pretty much all you need to know about the Persona 5 Tactica from our side. While you're still here, browse all the information we know so far about Throne and Liberty, including its release date and gameplay.
