Persona 5 Tactica features a brand new spin on the Persona 5 formula, taking the franchise's vibrant world into the grid-based tactical combat genre. Naturally, this means the game differs vastly from Persona's mainline entries. Fortunately, however, many fan-favourite staples of the franchise still remain, such as the Phantom Thieves' All-Out Attack.

Persona 5 Tactica's All-Out Attack is now called Triple Threat, though it works almost identically to the super-flashy attack fans know and love. There are, however, unique conditions players need to fulfil in order to use a Triple Threat attack, and those are what we'll be going over here.

How to do Triple Threat (All-Out Attack) in Persona 5 Tactica

As the name implies, to perform a Triple Threat attack, you must involve all three characters on the field. With Tactica featuring a grid-based combat system, performing a Triple Threat will require you to do some very deliberate positioning of your characters on the map.

The correct setup to perform a Triple Threat attack involves arranging the characters to form a triangle around your target(s), making sure that the space between them outlines this shape.

Similar to the mainline games, you'll also need to ensure that you incapacitate these enemies by landing a critical hit. In Persona 5 Tactica, a critical hit occurs when you attack an opponent who's vulnerable and unable to defend against your strike due to lack of cover, putting them in the "Downed" state and giving your character "One More" action.

Once both of these conditions are fulfilled, you'll notice a firey triangle forming between your three characters, as well as a prompt titled "Triple Threat GO!!!". Press the button input displayed for your characters to perform a Triple Threat attack, with animation almost identical to the All-Out Attacks we're used to from Persona 5, but in Tactica's new softer art style.

The move's conditions make it so that Persona 5 Tactica's Triple Threat is not as easy to activate as the All-Out Attack in the mainline games, however, it's still an integral part of combat that players will need to utilize, especially if they want to beat the game's higher difficulties.
