Yes, Verdansk is returning in Modern Warfare 3. At the time of writing, we know the map will feature as part of the single-player campaign. During the Makarov reveal trailer, the Verdansk football club's badge appears alongside the prison.
Alongside small snippets of the map, notable leaker 3rbbcod has uploaded a screenshot seemingly showcasing the entirety of Verdansk ablaze with a number of fighter jets flying above.
Is Verdansk returning to Warzone?
It's unclear if Verdansk is making its return to Warzone. However, there's still plenty of time for Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games to reveal their plans for the next chapter of the battle royale.
At the moment, rumours suggest a map set in the Las Almas region is expected to replace Al Mazrah. As always, take them with a pinch of salt until official confirmation emerges.

Twitter user CODWarfareForum has compiled a collection of Verdansk screenshots from Makarov's reveal trailer. Ranging from an explosion to the stadium, there are walls containing the Verdansk football club's logo.
It's unclear what role Verdansk will play in the Modern Warfare 3 campaign. We'll have to wait and see what Sledgehammer Games has in store.
