Will Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone get a Season 7?

No, there aren't any plans to release a Season 7 update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, meaning Season 6 is the last full season taking place in multiplayer and the battle royale.

Just like previous titles, seasonal updates for Modern Warfare 2 will stop after Season 6 as the focus moves to Sledgehammer Games' sequel.

The thought of no more seasonal updates for Modern Warfare 2 might be disappointing to some, but it's understandable as no other Call of Duty cycle has received seven seasons.

Of course, this could well change with Modern Warfare 3, but for now there's no signs of Activision making any changes to the existing formula of six seasons per cycle.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 start date

If rumours are to be believed, Season 1 of the Modern Warfare 3 cycle is expected to begin on December 5, 2023 and will include the full integration of the game into Warzone, which will feature a brand-new map.

Despite the lack of a Season 7 update, Season 6 and Season 6 Reloaded will contain plenty of content that will keep you ticking over until Modern Warfare 3 releases in November.
