Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 countdown - When does the update launch?

The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 countdown is ticking to its eventual release. Players are focusing on what the final seasonal update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone has in store. Like previous seasonal updates, there's a high chance Season 5 has content on its way to multiplayer and the battle royale.

Season 5 will feature a brand-new battle pass packed with content that could include a classic weapon from a previous release. Elsewhere, famous rappers are reportedly on their way.

Ahead of launch, Activision has shared some artwork highlighting the three Operators and a few of the weapons arriving in Season 5. The reveal also confirmed the return of Graves, the main antagonist from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign.

With a few days until Season 5 officially begins, the release time will differ depending on where you are in the world. We've got everything you need to know on the Season 5 start time for a number of different time zones:

• August 2 - 6PM BST
• August 2 - 7PM CEST
• August 2 - 10AM PST
• August 2 - 12PM CDT
• August 2 - 1PM EDT
• August 2 - 10PM IST
• August 3 - 2AM JST
• August 3 - 3AM AEST

As always, there's a possibility of the release times changing but there's no signs of Season 5 receiving any kind of delay. You may experience a server queue when loading into the action but apart from that, logging into Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 shouldn't be a problem.

For PlayStation users, the Season 5 update is approximately 12GB in size. The download size for PC and Xbox platforms should be bigger meaning it will take slightly longer to download.
