At the time of writing, there's no way to get your hands on the Slimline Pro Optic in standard multiplayer game modes. However, you can use it in private matches as all attachments are available to use. It's unclear if there is any unlock method for this particular optic as there's no description for it anywhere in the game.

Why can't I unlock the Modern Warfare 2 Slimline Pro Optic?

There are several reasons why the Slimline Pro Optic isn't available to attach to your favourite weapons. One theory that's gaining plenty of traction involves the arrival of brand-new weapons to the arsenal as part of seasonal updates.

Thanks to the new, and highly confusing, weapon platform progression there's a chance the optic is tied into an unreleased weapon platform arriving in a future update.

So far, we know the M13B, Chimera, Bas-P, and Victus XMR are already in the game files suggesting they'll make an appearance at the start of season 1.

The Slimline Pro Optic isn't the only thing that's unavailable in Modern Warfare 2. Players are unable to check their in-game statistics due to the lack of barracks and those looking for a more hardcore experience are still waiting on Tier 1 playlists to arrive.

Modern Warfare 2 season 1 start date

The first season of post-launch content for Modern Warfare 2 begins on November 16, coinciding with the launch of Warzone 2 and DMZ. Alongside the battle royale and extraction games, the new weapons are expected to arrive as soon as the update rolls out.

Usually, two new weapons appear as part of the new battle pass while others appear in either mid-season updates or through completing an unlock challenge.
