Modern Warfare 2 camo challenges give players an option to unlock a wealth of unique designs for their weapons. Just like the previous iterations of multiplayer, there are numerous objectives for players to complete and they involve meeting specific criteria when scoring a kill.
Some challenges involve scoring a certain number of eliminations while others are far more difficult to complete. Once all the challenges are complete, players can earn the coveted mastery camos to flex their achievements during matches.

How do Modern Warfare 2 camo challenges work?
Infinity Ward says it has streamlined the camo unlock grind by splitting them into base camos and mastery camos. Unlock base camos by completing anywhere between one to four challenges. Once they're unlocked, you can apply them to any weapon in the arsenal.
Each weapon that has no attachments has one base challenge to complete. For example, the RPG-7 has one challenge and once it's done you have access to the gold camo.
Modern Warfare 2 camo challenges
Although Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer hasn't launched, data miners have uncovered all of the camo challenges for each weapon category available to use as part of a loadout. Here's a complete list of challenges players need to complete:

- Score 10 double kills
- Score 50 ADS kills
- Score 15 kills from behind
- 800 kills
- 125 headshots
- 160 “Stance Change” kills (crouch or prone kills)
- 75 hipfire kills

- 100 Mounted kills
- 180 full attachment kills
- 50 reload kills
- 110 no attachment kills
- 35 “Streaks” (three kills without dying)
