To make someone a keyholder in LEGO Fortnite, you need to follow these simple steps:

  • Launch LEGO Fortnite and enter your world with your friends.
  • Then, open the Map or Inventory by pressing the M or I button, respectively.
  • Go to the Players tab.
  • Finally, select the friend you want to make a keyholder in LEGO Fortnite and click the Share Key button.

With that done, you now have a new keyholder. If you want to take away these rights from the player, then you need to take all the same steps as the last one. But instead of the Share Key option, you have to select Remove Key.

When a player creates a new world in LEGO Fortnite, they also receive seven keys for it. After that, you can give them to other players whom you trust that they had rights to the world almost like you. It's a pretty convenient feature and allows players to hop into different worlds that their friends govern.

What is a keyholder in LEGO Fortnite?

Basically, a keyholder is a co-owner of a world created by another player in LEGO Fortnite. This privilege allows you to enter the world even when its owner is offline. To do this, you must switch to the Shared Worlds tab when selecting a world.

This way, you can progress in the world even if you can't get together with all your friends at the same time. But you should also be aware of the limitations. There can be no more than eight keyholders in one world, including the owner. But since the game server is also limited to eight players, this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Basically, this feature will help you survive even if the owner of the world is offline, so you better ask for one of the keys when you start your playthrough.
