Is Immortals of Aveum open world?

Unfortunately, Immortals of Aveum features no open world. But at the same time, it is not fully linear, as you will have access to large areas that you can explore. Immortals of Aveum offers a bunch of secrets and locked passages for you to discover.

It might even be for the best as you won’t need to grind a lot, but will fully enjoy the gameplay and plot. Basically, Immortals of Aveum can be compared to the new parts of the God of War franchise, where you can go back to explore locations you've already visited during the story. The game has different types of levels and locations, some being large-scale, while others are more and linear.

According to Mark Maratea, Chief Technology Officer of the game, the size of some levels is 25-30 km, which is colossal for a game without an open world. Also, the developers claim that World Partition technology together with Lumen and Nanite allows them to carefully design each level and location, so the journey will be not only exciting but also gorgeous.
