How to download Foamstars

Basically, the game is going to be released on the PlayStation store directly on release, on February 6 2024. Square Enix confirmed this also recently, so all you need to do is access the store and download it as soon as it is released. But, there's a catch.

Foamstars requires online play and, as you might know if you're a PlayStation owner, accessing that feature does require you having a PlayStation Plus subscription. So, that is a bit of extra cost that you'll have to suffer, but there is some good news.

Between February 6 and March 4, all PlayStation Plus members can download and keep Foamstars at no extra cost, as the game will be part of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games line-up, directly at launch.

So, while on one hand it is not possible to access the game outside of a PlayStation Plus subscription, because the game is online only, if you remember to download and keep it, that is basically a free game on top of your subscription. Definitely a great little thing.
