Foamstars is flying under the radar but could become a surprise hit early in 2024 partially due to how much content it packs. One of the big three modes is mission mode.

If you're curious about mission mode, it's a more relaxing experience compared to PvP, but it still has plenty of stuff to offer for both solo players and those who have a squad raring to go.

So, let's break down everything you need to know about Foamstar's mission mode ahead of release this upcoming February 6.

Foamstars will feature mission mode

Foamstars mission mode is essentially a PvE experience that can be tackled solo or with a group. For those flying solo, there's Foamstar Mission. If you decide to team up with up to three friends you can play Squad Mission.

Foamstar Mission

This mode is perfect for newcomers to the game, or if you're trying out a different character. According to Square Enix's site, there are eight confirmed characters, so you might end up spending some time on Foamstar Mission while you find the right pick for you.

The cool part about Foamstar Mission is that it has unique dialogue for all characters, so not only you will be learning how to play them but actually get to know their personalities while doing so.

Squad Mission

Teams of four will join forces to take down waves upon waves of enemies. You'll be able to upgrade your character with different upgrades that add unique effects to their moves as you clear more waves.

No more specifics were shared about the mode in a recent PlayStation blog, however, we can assume it'll be filled with challenges to complete as Foamstars will become a live-service title that Square Enix will try to keep relevant for months to come.

And that's all you need to know about Foamstars. The game will be released on February 6 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as part of that month's PS+ monthly games lineup.
