Hogwarts Legacy is about a lot more than fighting magic beasts, flying on mounts, and exploring the breathtaking world. After all, Hogwarts is a school. Therefore, you can attend various Hogwarts Legacy classes playing the game.
By reading this guide, you will discover all subjects you can do in Hogwarts Legacy. That way you can prepare for these classes before the game releases and you can dive into your own adventure!
How do you study in Hogwarts Legacy?
The range of classes you can attend in Hogwarts Legacy significantly depends on your experience. During the first two years in Hogwarts, you can only learn compulsory subjects that strictly stick to the curriculum.
Once you are in your third year of studying at Hogwarts, you will be able to choose from unique electives. Electives are way more interesting than necessary subjects.
Finally, in the fifth year of studying at Hogwarts, all students must pass the Ordinary Wizard Level Exams. Even though there are no details on how these exams will be implemented in-game, it seems that it will be added to the game as a specific mission you will be supposed to complete. Also, the difficulty of this mission will significantly depend on the game difficulty you choose while creating your character in Hogwarts Legacy.
If you pass the exams successfully, you will be allowed to continue studying at Hogwarts on the Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Test, which will take two more years.
Of course, we'll have to wait and see whether classes appear in this form until Hogwarts Legacy releases.

Defense Against the Dark Arts
Defense Against the Dark Arts seems to be one of the most helpful classes in the game. This is probably where you'll learn more about combat and the various action mechanics within the game.
During Charms lessons, you can learn new powerful spells and practice the old ones to become more powerful.
Herbology is an introductory class aimed to teach you how to grow and take care of plants in Hogwarts Legacy.
Beasts lessons are going to be the most exciting ones. They will teach you everything about magical beasts in Hogwarts Legacy. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to ride them!
Even though some people consider Divination a useless subject, learning it allows you to predict the future in Hogwarts Legacy. This could play into some time-hopping future sequences within the game.
History of Magic
History of Magic is dull but a compulsory subject in the game. The main disadvantage of History of Magic is that it does not teach you any particular skills that might come in handy playing the game. Therefore, it'll probably mostly take place in the background.
That’s it for our look at classes in Hogwarts Legacy. As you can see, studying will be an integral part of the game. Moreover, there is a high chance that compulsory classes will be necessary if you want to progress through the storyline.
