Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter where you can squad up with your friends and go on all sorts of action-packed missions in space. Sure, teamwork will be essential to your group’s success, but there’s nothing quite like the rush of dominating the battlefield with a powerful weapon.

Helldivers 2 weapon tier list

Here’s how the top weapons in Helldivers 2 stack up against each other.

S-tier

• P-19 Redeemer: A relatively small firearm that can still pack a sizeable punch. This fully automatic pistol is great for dealing damage while carrying an objective in your other hand.
• JAR-5 Dominator: Precision, power, range, the JAR-5 Dominator has it all. Arguably the most powerful weapon in the game, be sure to pick it up from the Premium Warbond as soon as you get the chance.
• SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary: Though not as powerful as the JAR-5 Dominator, the SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary’s strengths lie in its effectiveness in battle. With a wide projectile spread that sets enemies on fire, this weapon is great for keeping swarms of enemies at bay.

A-tier

• SG-225 Breaker: If you’re looking for a solid, well-balanced weapon to take with you on your next mission, the SG-225 Breaker may be the gun for you. It has no glaring weaknesses and is more accessible than most top-tier weapons in the game.
• R-63 Diligence Counter Sniper: One effective defence against rampaging giant alien bugs is to stay as far away from them as you can. Of course, you’ll need a long-range weapon like the R-63 Diligence Counter Sniper to get some offence in from such a distance.
• SMG-37 Defender: This submachine gun lives up to its name as it is extremely effective at taking out enemies that like to get up close. The SMG-37 Defender is at its best at close range, but it is still a very capable weapon at mid-range.

B-tier

• P-2 Peacmaker: The standard Helldivers 2 sidearm is a handy weapon to use in a pinch. It’s far from terrible but there are better options available in the game.
• SG-225SP Breaker Spray and Pray: Much like the SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary, this weapon is mainly used for dealing with multiple enemies at once. However, it lacks the burning effect of the Breaker Incendiary, making it less efficient to use.

C-tier

• P-4 Senator: Every shooting game has got to have a cool-looking revolver these days but the P-4 Senator in Helldivers 2 stands out in the worst possible way. It lacks the explosive power you would expect from a revolver so dealing with its slow rate of fire isn’t worth it.
• PLAS-1 Scorcher: Stunning enemies with an explosive blast may sound cool, but it’s nowhere near as efficient as blasting them in the face and ending them once and for all. The fact that it’s also one of the most expensive weapons to get in Helldivers 2 makes it even less appealing to try out.
