In Helldivers 2, players will get the chance to fight off giant alien bugs in an effort to save the galaxy. It’s very much a life-or-death situation, so of course you’re going to want the best build ready to go when you’re deployed to the next battle.

Meta builds in Helldivers 2

Considering all of the gear and stratagems you can use in Helldivers 2, there’s plenty of customization for your loadout. Here are some of the best loadouts to use while saving the galaxy.

Support build

• Primary: SG-225
• Secondary: P-19 Redeemer
• Throwable: G-3 Smoke
• Armor Passive: Med-Kit
• Stratagem: B-1 Supply Pack

Though Helldivers 2 puts a lot of emphasis on going on the offensive, this support build takes a tiny step back from the aggression to help out your teammates. You’ve got healing capabilities with the armour passive, cover provided by the smoke grenade, and additional damage output from your Primary and Secondary weapons.

Supports are rarely ever the flashiest role in any game, but they’re usually the least susceptible to any shifts in the meta.

Nest Closer build

• Primary: AR-23P Liberator Penetrator
• Secondary: P-19 Redeemer
• Throwable: G-12 High Explosive
• Armor Passive: Engineering Kit
• Stratagem: Grenade Launcher, Supply Pack, Orbital Precision Strike, Eagle Cluster bomb

This is a highly specialized build that’s best at doing what its name implies – taking out nests. Closing nests in Helldivers 2 is a secondary objective that isn’t required to progress but they do provide you with some extra XP.

So if you feel like shutting down a few extra nests on your way to your next objective or you’re grinding them out for some XP, using this build is definitely worth a shot.

Balanced build

• Primary: AR-23 Liberator
• Secondary: P-2 Peacemaker
• Throwable: G-12 High Explosive
• Armor Passive: Med Kit
• Stratagems: Orbital 120MM HE Barrage, Eagle Strafing Run, Machine Gun, Supply Pack

If you don’t know what to expect on your next mission and are just looking for a safe build to go with, this all-around loadout should serve you well. It has all your bases covered having neither glaring weaknesses nor standout strengths.

Meta-defining build

• Primary: SG-225 Breaker
• Secondary: P-19 Redeemer
• Throwable: G-16 Impact
• Armor Passive: Democracy Protects
• Stratagems: Railgun, Shield Generator Pack, Orbital Laser, Eagle Cluster Bomb

When gamers find a strategy that works, others are bound to use the same tactics and adapt as they see fit. This build, or at some variation of it, has become one of the most popular loadouts in Helldivers 2 for a reason.

Many are finding this setup extremely effective at handling endgame content in the third-person shooter. So if you have the right gear for it, you should definitely try this build out and make some adjustments to better suit your playstyle.
