Despite all the strengths of these mighty Helldivers 2 creatures, Brood Commanders are not immortal and will quickly fall to a hail of bullets. It is relatively easy to break through its back, and the difficulty of the battle will only be to reduce its health slowly to zero if you deprive it of its minions.

Where to find Brood Commanders in Helldivers 2

It is worth noting that you can find Brood Commanders at any difficulty level, but not in every match. Trying to find these enemies anywhere on the map or in Terminid nests may be futile, and there are reasons for this. To meet these creatures, you will have to fulfil the condition, namely, receive the exclusive 'Eliminate Brood Commander' missions.

During this mission, you will have to destroy at least one Brood Commander, but fortunately, the start of this mission will spawn several creatures of this type at once in the Terminid habitats.

You only need to look at the galactic war map and find the yellow zones in which this terrible race lives. Having landed on the desired planet, look for nests, and you will find the right boss. Of course, several Brood Commanders can spawn on the map at once, but they are far from each other.

How to kill Brood Commanders in Helldivers 2

Although the Brood Commander has colossal strength and armour durability, the main problem in the battle will be the dozens and hundreds of smaller Terminids surrounding the boss. In addition, the boss can launch Bug Breaches, which will summon even more small hordes of creatures for you to fight.

The first thing you should do is get rid of Scavengers, Hunters, and Warriors so that they don't distract you from the main battle. Stalwart Grenade Launcher or Sentry Turret will help you with this and will cover you. Also, scatter as many Supply Drops around the battlefield as possible to be able to quickly replenish supplies.

After you have thinned out the ranks of small Terminids, begin the battle with the Brood Commander. Try to shoot it in the back and head to cause maximum damage. But at the same time, keep a decent distance so as not to fall under its attack with poisonous claws. Well-placed Sentry Turrets will also help you finish off the boss faster, so don't forget about them even after destroying the horde.

Finally, it is worth adding that these tips will help if you are trying to defeat Brood Commander on Challenger difficulty and above. If you are playing on lower difficulty levels, R-63 Diligence in your main hand, G-16 Impact as a consumable, and Mortar Sentry as a support force will be enough to win.
