How do I find Yggdrasil seeds in God of War Ragnarok?

Yggdrasil seeds are mostly unlocked through the main game. Like the components needed to upgrade the Blades of Chaos and Leviathan Axe, they are given to you to cement your progression.

This being said, you can find parts of them through side quests and extra activities. In the first area, Svartalfheim, you can find part of a Yggdrasil seed near Lynbakr's Island in the Bay of Bounty. This will then challenge you with a new favour to find both parts. Luckily, the majority of exploration you do in regard to the game's fast travel mechanic will be part of the story.

Continue to play the game, and this system will start to make sense. You don't have to fully loot every area before you finish the story in that zone. You can go back via a Mystic Gateway at any point!
